The "Stars" of Grameen Bank

Not all Grameen Bank branches are the same. Each is distinguished by the number of stars it earned, said Grameen Bank founder Muhammad Yunus at the World Affairs Council of Washington, D.C., on Feb. 4. A branch will get one star if it has a 100 percent loan recovery rate throughout the year, or five stars when all its clients have escaped poverty.
