Think Tanks Urge European Aid Rethink

Four of Europe’s leading think tanks have called on the European Union to reform how it delivers development aid. The Overseas Development Institute, German Development Institute, European Center for Development Policy Management and Fundación para las Relaciones Internacionales y el Diálogo Exterior, or FRIDE, made the appeal in a report that they released in time for the inauguration of the new European Commission. They also urged EU states to fulfill their aid promises and invest more in development partnerships.
