With a commitment of more than USD450 million for Mozambique over the next five years, it is imperative to find ways for the prompt release of funding from the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria. Voluntary pooled procurement of medicines, according to Neil Squires of the U.K. Department for International Development, may be a step toward helping prevent delays in disbursement, which happened in 2009.
