Tony Blair will seek to change the standing paradigm on the way rich nations help the developing world. According to Africa Confidential magazine, which obtained an advanced copy of the 400-page Africa Commission report, the British prime minister will accord high priority to defeating corruption in African countries, obliging Western banks to reveal "suspicious accounts" and repatriate the purloined money and assets to the African people. The document will also urge debt write-offs, removal of harmful trade barriers and an immediate rise in aid by $25 billion and another $25 billion from 2010.
