Turkey will distribute some USD20 billion worth of tenders for renewable energy licenses over four years, the country’s energy minister said.

Energy Minister Taner Yildiz spoke about the renewable energy licenses with European Investment Bank President Philippe Maystadt at the sidelines of an informal meeting between European Union energy ministers held Sept. 6-7 in Brussels, Today’s Zaman reports, citing a ministry news release.

Yildiz invited EIB to contribute to the licenses and thanked the institution for supporting projects in the country, the newspaper adds.
