Uganda is set for its self- appraisal next month in preparation of the African Peer Review Mechanism, the government has announced. A total of 26 African countries are part of the peer review program, a mechanism which assess social development, political, economic and corporate governance. In other news, the National Association of Professional Environmentalists was written a letter to the World Bank asking it to re-inspect the Uganda’s Bujagali hydropower plant project claiming that the project violates the Bank’s operational and procedural policies.
