The International Rescue Committee has rehabilitated nine health facilities in northern Uganda’s Kitgum and Lamwo districts. The health centers, which will now be managed by district health offices, will help attend to the needs of displaced people returning to their homes.

International donors have decreased assistance for Uganda by more than 35 percent, The Monitor reports. The decline in foreign aid for financial year 2010-2011 is higher in grants than loans, Finance Minister Syda Bbumba said.
