The World Bank has cautioned Uganda not to enter into new public-private partnerships without understanding them.

“The government should not engage in new public-private partnership (PPP) arrangements without understanding them clearly: in terms of the obligations they are entering. Otherwise, it can lead to a lot of confrontation,” Kundhavi Kadiresan, the bank’s Uganda country director, was quoted by The Monitor as saying.
