UK Grants Climate Change Aid to Nepal

The U.K. has committed USD80 million to help Nepal deal with the impact of climate change. "Nepal is in the front line of the battle against climate change with the Himalayan glaciers melting faster than anywhere else in the world," said U.K. International Development Minister Gareth Thomas in a statement, as quoted by Xinhua. "Deforestation is Nepal's biggest source of greenhouse gases and we need to reverse that trend."
