Ukraine Eyes EBRD Assistance for Gas Project

Ukraine hopes to secure support from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development to upgrade the nation’s gas transit network, UPI reports. Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov underscored the crucial need of collaborating with EBRD for this project.

“Our task is to modernize the (gas transportation) system so that our pipeline becomes the most profitable and efficient for pumping gas to Europe,” Azarov said, as quoted by UPI. “It is a serious and important job and cooperation with your bank on this issue is very important to us.”
