UN: 5 Staff Gone Missing in Afghanistan

Five Afghan workers of the United Nations Office for Project Services in Kabul are missing, a spokesperson of the U.N. mission in Afghanistan said April 16.

“The U.N. is currently working with the Afghan authorities to ascertain [the workers’] current whereabouts and the exact circumstances of their situation,” Dan McNorton was quoted by Reuters as saying.

All foreign staff of the U.N. mission are accounted for, Reuters notes.
