UN Appeals for Emergency Food Aid in Ethiopia

The U.N. World Food Program made an urgent call for USD222 million to prevent an looming food crisis in Ethiopia following soaring prices and droughts. Approximately 4.6 million people in the landlocked African country need emergency food assistance to help them before the next harvest season starts in November, government officials and aid agencies said.
