UN Asks for Donor Funding Toward Burundi Elections

The

has appealed for USD3 million to finance the 2010 elections in Burundi.  According to U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon, the money will be needed by the country's National Independent Electoral Commission "to attend to most pressing tasks under its mandate."
