UN Assesses Quake Damage in Indonesia

The

reported that a joint U.N. assessment mission is being conducted in earthquake-hit West Papua province in Indonesia where an estimated 14,000 people have been displaced and more than 800 houses destroyed. U.N. agencies in the provincial capital Jayapura have already discussed possible assistance that may be delivered in the affected areas if required.
