UN Bolsters Global Cooperation on Human Rights

The United Nations is convening 300 representatives from international human rights organizations in a two-day workshop aimed at boosting global cooperation to promote human rights and protect victims of violations.

Delegates will explore concrete proposals on strengthening cooperation between U.N. and regional human rights mechanisms, as well as determine ways to overcome hindrances in promoting human rights at the national, regional and international levels.

Members of human rights organizations from Africa, Europe and Arab states are joining the Geneva workshop.
