The United Nations Central Emergency Response Fund has committed USD2.7 million to help contain outbreaks of measles and meningitis in Chad. The funding, of which USD1.9 million will go to the World Health Organization and USD850,000 to UNICEF, will be used to vaccinate some 627,000 children against meningitis and around 966,000 against measles.
