UN Peace-building Panel Assures Liberia of Aid

    Liberia will receive a USD25 million grant from the U.N. Peacebuilding Commission, Peter Wittig, the panel’s chairman, assured the African country.

    The grant will be support Liberia’s peacekeeping and peace-building efforts, which include implementing security sector reform, strengthening the capacity of the country’s justice sector, generating jobs for the youth, and implementing reconciliation measures for former militants.
