UN Seeks USD20 Million for Drought-Hit Syria

Some USD20 million is needed to help one million Syrians, mostly herders and subsistence farmers, deal with the worst drought to hit the country in four decades, the United Nations said. Of the amount, USD14 million will be allotted for agriculture and livelihood projects while USD5 million will be used to provide food aid.
