UN to Seek USD613 Million for Gaza

The United Nations will unveil a USD613 million aid appeal for war-torn Gaza,

reported. The funding will be used to provide food, shelter, health care and other assistance to victims of Israel's 22-day attack on the Palestinian territory, said John Holmes, chief of the U.N. Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs. According to the agency, an assessment on the long-term needs in the conflict-hit territory is now under way.
