UNICEF's main hiring needs

By Rolf Rosenkranz26 May 2011

The United Nations Children’s Fund is constantly looking to hire development professionals around the globe. But some vacancies have been hard to fill, says the agency’s top recruiter.

So, what are these particularly sought-after skills sets? According to Rolf Schaller, UNICEF’s chief of recruitment and staffing, they lie in the areas of nutrition, sanitation and social policy, among others.

Schaller was the featured guest speaker in the fifth installment of the Devex Career Webinar Series titled “Ask the Recruiter: Jobs with UNICEF,” recorded May 4. Now available online, the one-hour webinar features a presentation by Schaller, as well as a question-and-answer period during which the U.N. recruiter responds to questions submitted live by Devex webinar participants.
