US Considers Ending IMF Ban on Zimbabwe

The United States would not oppose motions to restore the voting rights of Zimbabwe in the International Monetary Fund,

reports. Since 2001, the U.S. has blocked IMF and World Bank funding for Zimbabwe, as protest to political oppression and reckless economic policies of President Robert Mugabe.
