US-funded Power Plant Project in Afghanistan Found Mismanaged

The Office of the Special Inspector General for Afghanistan Reconstruction found that a USD300 million U.S.-funded power plant project in Afghanistan was mismanaged and ill-conceived, the

reports. The audit showed the project is a year behind schedule and almost USD40 million over its original budget.
