US Helps Pakistan Cope With Food Crisis

The U.S. will provide USD8.4 million to help Pakistan deal with surging food prices. The U.S. Agency for International Development and the World Food Program will administer the funding. “I am particularly pleased that many of those who will benefit from this food aid are Pakistani school children,” said U.S. Ambassador to Pakistan Anne W. Patterson. (“U.S. provides USD8.4 million Grant in food aid to assist with food crisis in Pakistan” - Government of the United States of America, Sept. 18, 2008)
