US Lifts Ban on Cuban Democracy Trips

Organizations engaged in U.S.-funded democracy programs in Cuba can now resume their trips to the Caribbean nation, the Miami Herald reports. The Obama administration lifted its ban on all trips delivering U.S. assistance to pro-democracy groups in Cuba. The ban was imposed following the arrest of a U.S. Agency for International Development subcontractor in December 2009.
