US Senate Keeps IMF Aid in War Funding Bill

The U.S. Senate voted to keep $108 million for the International Monetary Fund in a $91.3 billion war funding bill, Reuters reported. The amount will be used to beef up IMF's support for nations adversely affected by the economic crisis. The provision would increase U.S. contribution to the multilateral lender by $8 billion.
