US Supports Energy, Environment Projects in Philippines

The U.S. has allotted USD73 million for energy and environment projects supporting peace and order programs in the southern Philippine region of Mindanao. The money will be managed by the Alliance for Mindanao Off-grid Renewable program, which implements U.S.-backed environment projects in Mindanao, the Philippine Daily Inquirer reports.
