USAID Backs Anti-trafficking Effort in Turkmenistan

The U.S. Agency for International Development will finance an anti-trafficking project in Turkmenistan that aims to address and prevent human trafficking in the region, according to the U.S. embassy in the Central Asian country.

The Central Asia Counter-Trafficking project is being implemented across the region by the International Office for Migration. The Turkmenistan phase of the project was first unveiled in October, Azerbaijan’s Trend news agency says.
