USAID Boosts Health, Environment in 3 Nations

The U.S. Agency for International Development entered into a three-year partnership with Johnson & Johnson to improve health care and environmental conservation in Kenya, Nepal and the Democratic Republic of Congo. “We are very pleased to join WWF and Johnson & Johnson in this unique partnership, as such strategic alliances with the private sector and other nontraditional partners increase and sustain USAID’s development impact,” said Kent Hill, assistant administrator of USAID’s Global Health Bureau. The World Wildlife Fund will administer the USD3 million funding. (“U.S.-Funded Program Aims to Balance Human, Environmental Needs” - Taiwan News Online, Nov. 7, 2008)
