USAID to Provide $81M for Philippines

The U.S. Agency for International Development is ready to commit some $87.17 million to support Philippine development initiatives. The assistance, Business World reported, will back projects on human development, peace and security, economic growth, and governance and democracy. The sum is part of the $123.5 million funding the U.S. earmarked for the Philippines from 2009 to 2013.
