USD330 Million Needed to Rebuild Gaza, Initial UN Assessment Says

    An initial damage assessment conducted by the United Nations indicates that some USD330 million is required to rehabilitate Gaza,

    quoted The Jordan Times. The U.N. Relief and Works Agency said that the funding is urgently needed to provide food and shelter as well as support the education, health and environment sectors in the war-torn Palestinian territory. The U.N. agency, however, stressed that the figure could double or triple once the damage assessment is completed.
