WFP seeks aid for Bhutanese refugees in Nepal

The Netherlands and Switzerland donated a combined amount of $1.027 million to support the work of the World Food Program in Nepal. Despite the fresh funding, the agency remains short of more than $7 million this year to supply “adequate food” to over 108,000 Bhutanese refugees in the country’s eastern region. The WFP-Nepal office also received contributions from the U.S. and Canada. (Source: WFP needs more funds to feed Bhutanese refugees in Nepal/Xinhua)
