WFP Teams up With Private Sector on New Anti-hunger Scheme

The 

 is collaborating with private sector partners to back a new initiative aimed at decreasing hunger and malnutrition rates in the developing world. Project Laser Beam will tap the expertise of DSM, Heinz, Kraft Foods, Unilever and the Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition to help combat hunger in poor nations. WFP is expected to mobilize some USD50 million from the five-year initiative.
