What your mom joining Facebook has to do with recruiters and social media

Maya Salomon, senior recruiter for The Asia Foundation, explains the benefits of interacting with online communities.

Recruitment has changed vastly just in the past five years, mostly thanks to social media — and the prevalence of both candidates and recruiters online.

“It’s like when all of the sudden your mother was on Facebook? It’s the same thing. Now everyone is on social media and using social media professionally,” Maya Salomon, senior recruiter for The Asia Foundation, told Devex at the Career Forum in Washington.
