Who's who in #globaldev: June 2015 executive appointments

It comes as no surprise that José Graziano da Silva keeps the highest position at the Food and Agriculture Organization: He was the lone candidate in an election held earlier in June during the FAO biennial governing conference earlier in Rome.

Graziano da Silva’s second term runs from July 31, 2015, to July 30, 2019.

Meanwhile, Stephen O’Brien now oversees the U.N. Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs.

“I look forward to working intensively with the humanitarian community at a time when there are so many people in need and so many crises demanding our urgent action,” O’Brien said in a statement.
