Save the Children U.K.

Save the Children U.K., one of the largest international NGOs, has a new chief executive. Kevin Watkins, formerly executive director of the British development think tank Overseas Development Institute, will be starting in his new position late September. He will be replacing Justin Forsyth, who announced his resignation in 2015.

Aidspan

International NGO Aidspan, which serves as an independent watchdog of The Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria, has also announced its new executive director: Ida Hazinka, formerly member of the board at the NGO and permanent secretary of Rwanda’s country coordinating mechanism to The Global Fund. Hazinka has an “excellent understanding” of The Global Fund and is “the ideal person” to lead Aidspan’s current restructuring, said board chair James Deutsch in a press release.
