Will Myanmar Elections Mean Reduced Aid?

The Burmese junta has been reportedly looking at curbing the number of foreigners in the nation with the elections coming up. Such a move has raised fears among aid groups that foreign aid will be increasingly restricted, Democratic Voice of Burma reports.

“We know that visas in the past couple of months have been difficult to obtain for aid workers and we expect more of this in the next couple of months,” said Benjamin Zawacki, Burma researcher at Amnesty International.
