World Bank, AFD Back Tunisia Energy Sector

The World Bank and French Development Agency, or AFD, approved separate credit lines to support and strengthen the energy sector of Tunisia, Tunisia Online News reports. The World Bank provided USD42.3 million to promote energy efficiency and energy co-generation programs, while AFD committed USD40 million to support  technical assistance for two Tunisian energy agencies, the National Agency for Energy Control and the National Agency for Environmental Protection.
