World Bank Backs Sri Lanka Recovery

    The World Bank is freeing up some USD77 million to rebuild Sri Lanka's Northern province,

    reports. The sum will help improve the living conditions of internally displaced people by supporting mobile land resolution task forces, mine awareness campaigns, and clearance of overgrown paddies. It will also be used to provide fishing and farming equipment.
