World Bank Bolsters Central African Republic's Power Sector

The World Bank will grant USD8 million to improve power supply in the Central African Republic. According to the

, the project aims to help electricity utility Enerca restore reliable power supply in Bangui by repairing hydropower stations, distributing compact fluorescent lamps, providing prepayment meters to improve revenue collection and replacing old distribution lines with polyvinyl chloride insulated ones.
