World Bank Boosts Brazilian Rural Development

The World Bank will lend USD20.8 million to alleviate rural poverty in Brazil’s Sergipe state. “The program seeks to generate productive activities through local as­­­­­sociations and cooperatives, boosting the income of small farmers in Sergipe, while guaranteeing employment and development and improving the quality of life of individuals,” Sergipe Governor Marcelo Deda said.
