The World Bank earmarked USD145 million to finance water and irrigation schemes in Egypt. The funding will be used to reclaim a part of the land along the country’s western delta area. Meanwhile, the French Development Agency is expected to lend another USD30 million on top of the USD8 million it initially granted for development projects in the African country.
