World Bank Earmarks USD495M for Brazil’s Power Project

The World Bank has approved a loan worth USD495 million to finance the Eletrobras Distribution Rehabilitation Project in Brazil. The project, which is expected to benefit 3 million people in 118 municipalities, seeks to enhance the quality of service and support the operations of six state power distribution utilities in Brazil’s poor northern and northeast regions.
