World Bank Funds Argentina Influenza Project

The World Bank approved a USD229 million loan for an emergency health care project in Argentina that aims to strengthen the country’s epidemiological system. Specifically, the loan will boost initiatives to improve the prevention, monitoring and evaluation of influenza as well as the containment of epidemic waves of H1H1 influenza.
