World Bank Helps Protect China's Cultural Heritage, Environment

The

offered a total of USD150 million in two loans to China. The financing will help boost the income of ethnic minorities as well as protect the cultural and natural heritage in Guizhou province. It will also be used to enhance water resource management in Yunnan province. The Global Environment Facility will also grant USD19.7 million to improve power efficiency in Shanxi, Shandong and Guangdong provinces.
