World Bank promotes public sector development in Turkey

The World Bank is moving ahead with the Second Programmatic Public Sector Development Policy Loan (PPDPL 2) for Turkey. The USD400 million funding will support the country’s plans to institute policy, legal and insitutional reforms to improve public governance, service delivery and the social security and health insurance system. “Turkey continues to make great strides in implementing reforms to provide public services to the Turkish people effectively and efficiently. The World Bank is very pleased to support the Government?s program with this second Public Sector Development Policy Loan,” Ulrich Zachau, the World Bank’s top official in Turkey, averred.
