Yohannes ‘Impressed’ With Cape Verde

Millennium Challenge Corp. CEO Daniel Yohannes is happy with what he saw during his short trip last week in Cape Verde, where MCC has a USD110 million compact program.

In his Feb. 10 blog, Yohannes said he was “impressed” with the vibrant local business and the country’s e-government system, which offers government services online.

“Their systems, in many ways, are more advanced than some government services here in the U.S.,” he added.

The MCC compact is financing construction of roads and rehabilitation of Port of Praia.
