Aberlour Child Care Trust
The residential and fostering services are for children who are unable to live with their families. Often children have suffered traumatic experiences at a young age, and this has affected the way they feel inside. They are there for those children, to help them to flourish.
Aberlour Child Care Trust believes that a positive and nurturing home is the basic right of every child. They are proud to give them the best start in life, by offering safe, loving, nurturing and therapeutic care for them.
Aberlour Child Care Trust sees residential child care as a positive setting for children, where they have all the help and support they need. The children’s houses have all the same rhythms and routines as any other family home.
Aberlour Child Care Trust also offers foster families for those children who would be better suited to living in a different residential environment. All foster carers are highly trained caring professions, all driven by desire to help children and young people to grow up and flourish.
Looking after a child with a disability can be demanding. The services are designed to make life easier, so that all family members can thrive.
The disability services are designed around what’s best for the child and the family. Aberlour Child Care Trust is committed to making services fit the individual, and not the other way around. This means that if a family need a very specific type of support or care, Aberlour Child Care Trust will go that extra mile to make it happen. Aberlour Child Care Trust willl work extra hard to understand their needs, so they can give the best and most personalised care. Aberlour Child Care Trust does this because Aberlour Child Care Trust believes that every child deserves the chance to flourish.
Just some of the ways they are helping families include providing respite breaks; support with education; life skills classes for young people approaching adulthood; outward bound holidays for those with a taste for adventure; and specialist sibling support, for the other children in the family.
Mission: To transform the lives of the children and families they work with and, through this, contribute to building a fairer and more equal society.
