About

Act for transformation is an association registered as a non-profit organization providing youth welfare. We have different projects for youths, developement and peace building.

We are an association of self-employed and independent trainers and consultants working together as a Team in the field of intercultural and conflict transformation. We have offers for social institutions, sustainable business and developement organisations.

 


Services

We offer further training, seminars and lectures for grown-ups on social and intercultural competency, conflict transformation and teamwork.

We offer different competency training courses, prevention and cultural projects especially for young persons at schools and in the open Youth work.

For institutions, companies and non-profit organizations we offer consultation and further training in the area of project development and human resource development.

 

Advanced Trainings

We offer further education and training in social and leadership competencies to promote communication skills, creativity, non-violent conflict management and intercultural competence. Our training courses are process- and participant-oriented and are methodically and didactically designed to appeal to employees, educationists, youth teamers and executives.

The advanced trainings may be in the form of lectures, one-day basic training courses through to seminars lasting several days. Some of the course modules are:

    • Non-violent and intercultural conflict resolution
    • Team and leadership competency
    • Arbitration and mediation in the intercultural context
    • Education to become a trainer or youth teamer
    • Intercultural communication
    • Stress management and de-escalation


In addition to the training courses listed here, we can also organize training and program planning schedules specific to your requirements tailored to your Personal- and Project development needs.

We offer lectures on:

    • Global learning
    • Conflict resolution & conflict management
    • Violence prevention
    • Intercultural dialog
    • Sudan and the peace process
    • Project development


These lectures can be part of training courses, held as separate evening events or as panel discussions and may include visual presentations (photos, PowerPoint presentations, etc.).

For school classes, youth groups and special-interest groups there is the possibility of furtherance in the field of development policy education.

 

 

Youth work

We come to schools and youth groups to hold lectures and courses and offer support for project days and workshops. 

We are active in the following fields:
 

    • Global Learning
      We are participating in the UN’s decade of "Education for Sustainable Development“ (2004-2014) and offer global learning in schools and education(www.globaleslernen.de). Children can learn playfully about One World and young people can find out about what development work and peace policy involves.
      Topics include: Children’s rights, Poverty, Fair Trade, Conflict Resolution, Inter-Faith Dialogue, Voluntary Work, etc.
       
    • Intercultural Understanding
      We learn to better understand both our own and "other” cultures through games and exercises about perception, communication and activities together. This helps us to open up to the positive side of cultural diversity.
      We offer the following training courses: Intercultural Training, Volunteer Preparation, Supervising International Youth Meetings, Cultural Projects, etc.
       
    • Social Competency & Violence Prevention
      These courses promote communication skills, the ability to handle conflict, the ability to work well in a team, as well as encouraging self-confidence in children and young people. Games and role-plays lead to a better understanding of violence prevention.
      We offer the following training courses: Mutual Respect Courses (social competence training), Self-Assurance Training, Civil Courage & De-escalation Training, Experience-Building Activities.

 

 

 

 

Human Resource and Project Developement

We offer further education and training for your employees, strengthening their social and intercultural competencies and promoting teamwork in your organization. 

We develop training courses according to your particular requirements.
Participatory project development takes account of the interests of the target group, the resources available as well as the scope of your organization. We comply with social and ecological standards (CBS, Sustainability) during project planning and implementation as well as economic guidelines.

Possible project development modules are:

    • Assessments and analyses as the basis for planning
    • (PCIA = Peace and Conflict Impact Assessment; Requirements Analysis)
    • Planning workshops
    • Monitoring and accompanying of individual or all phases of projects
    • Evaluation and assessment of projects


We prepare reports, chair team meetings and planning workshops, offer mediation in case of conflicts and support you in your personal development.
