Agency for Medicines and Medical Devices of Montenegro (CALIMS)
A mission of the Agency is to professionally and responsibly ensure presence of quality, safe, effective and rationally used medicines and medical devices and thus provide high quality of patient care in this field of health system.
An important segment of the mission of the Agency is to, in accordance with the principles of good regulatory practice, continuously improve the efficiency and transparency of business processes and thus ensure customer satisfaction.
The vision of the Agency, as highly-qualified, professional and independent institution, is to responsibly improve health care system functioning, especially the segments of registration and consumption of medicines, up to the standards of the European Union, and as such is recognized by patients, clients, authorities and experts in the area of medicines and medical devices.
adopting the Strategic Plan of the Agency for Medicines and Medical Devices of Montenegro, which will enable optimal and efficient functioning of the Agency;
continuous improvement of the overall standard of health care;
health care organisations and institutions involvement in the process of quality improvement;
monitoring of safety of all medicines on the market and prohibition of marketing of all medicinal products that do not meet the standards, or are unsafe;
control of medicines consumption;
being reckognised by international regulatory bodies and institutions in this field
ensuring visible and measurable health care quality improvement on regular basis.
Strategies to achieve the objectives of the Agency
To hire, train and keep sufficient number of pharmacists, doctors and other highly specialized professionals needed in the business areas of the Agency;
To promote improvement of quality and accreditation among health care institutions, health care professionals and patients;
To connect with international bodies and other organizations that are interested in the quality of medicines and medical devices;
To create an environment in which patients’ experience will be of major importance for the organization and health care provision.See more
