Mission: APC­Colombia’s main objective is to manage, guide and provide technical coordination for the public, private, technical and financial non refundable international cooperation received and granted by the country; as well as executing, managing, and  giving support to directing and managing resources, programs and projects for international cooperation according to foreign policy goals and the National development plan. Vision: in 2018 APC-Colombia expects to increase the benefit obtained by Colombian society and international as a result of the implementation of the Roadmap of the International Cooperation from Colombia 2015-2018, according to country’s priority. What They Do: Cooperation Mechanism: Cooperation mechanisms are coworking places for cooperators and national actors. They are used as management platforms for financial and technical resources directed to the development of priority initiatives for the country that need the international cooperation. These mechanisms start up the actions with a territorial approach between public and privates institutions, civil society and international cooperation, as well as between donors, and focus on the decision making on joining new supporters. Answering to thematic focus and territorial established in the International Cooperation Roadmap 2015-2018, they lead the formation of three coordination mechanisms relating to: The three main areas refer to the goal of reaching the peace in Colombia, which needs the international support to boost and make sustainable the economic, social and environmental development; promote a global territorial vision to preserve the environment and biodiversity, consolidate the rule of law and provide assistance to the population most affected by the armed conflict. Territorio Avanza: Territorio Avanza is the working proposal of APC­-Colombia in order to promote international cooperation from and for Colombian territories. Territorio Avanza identified four services with different territorial approach: a) Coordination and articulation of the parties. b) Knowledge exchange c) Capabilities development. d) Strengthen the territorial management of International cooperation. Furthermore, each service includes a variety of tools, from which they can emphasize Col-Col Cooperation, gather information from development experiences, grants and short courses in favor to increase the benefit received and granted for the country in local areas from International cooperation. Finally, services and tools are developed thanks to inter-institutional agreements with national, local authorities, civil society organizations, international cooperating, and businesses with a wide experience in relevant territorial subjects such as peace buildings, entrepreneurship and environment sustainability; moreover they can count on the long lasting presence and social legitimacy in several regions and sub-regions in the country. Saber Hacer Colombia: Saber Hacer Colombia is a national and territorial experience portfolio, which has been developed into important learning that they offer to their international members in order to share them through projects and cooperation programs South-SouthTriangular and Col-Col (internal exchanges in the country). APC­-Colombia and several public, private and international community organizations have joint together to achieve a documentation methodology, classification and verification of experiences that offer concrete learning to face the challenges posed by the 2030 Agenda and to fulfill the sustainable development goals. APC­-Colombia, in association with several institutions in the country, this practices and experiences portfolio, not only to reach the sustainable development goal, but also to boost mutual learning approaches and sharing knowledge in key subjects such as peace building, climate change adaptation, sustainable tourism, between others. APC­-Colombia role in SDGs: Sustainable development goals are a group of global purposes around eradication of poverty, protection of the planet and the assurance of global prosperity. SDGs are part of a new sustainable development agenda agreeded by Nations for the next 15 years and in order to fulfill them, it’s necessary the effort and participation of governments, private sector and civil society. Colombia’s role was essential to define SDGs and the Sustainable Development Agenda for 2030. Since 2011, their country is promoting the idea of creating innovative and changing objectives with a global impact in order to encourage the Union of Nations with a common purpose to achieve a sustainable development in an international level. Colombia’s dues and contributions were really important in 2015 to stablish  the new Development Agenta named “ Changing our world: The Agenda 2030 for the Sustainable Development”, from the United Nations. Colombia is seriously compromised with the implementation of the Sustainable development goals. In fact, Colombia was the first country in formulating its National Development Plan (PND) with a SDGs approach. In the same way, their country was a pioneer in the establishment of an institutional structure for the effective implementation of the ODS in the territory: The Interinstitutional Commission of High level for the enlistment and effective implementation in the Development Agenda and theirs SDGs. APC­-Colombia is an active party of this institutional architecture, and as an authority of the National government that technically coordinates international cooperation, works to align interests, articulate actors, and to leverage resources from international cooperation referring to SDGs In this regard, the Agency is responsible for the following activities: Identify North-South, South-South and Col-Col Coopertion opportunities, to complete technical and financial efforts in  a national and local level to implement the SDGs Promote Private Sector involvement in different initiatives and projects in order to strengthen the implementation of the SDGs in the territories, fulfillin the 17th objective “Alliances to obtain the Sustainable development goals. Document good practices for the Sustainable local development “Know How Colombia” which are related to the Sustainable development Agenda 2030.
